Parks in San Clemente

View a detailed map of all the parks in San Clemente.

Bonita Canyon ParkSan Gorgonio park. Great ocean views, playgrounds, basketball courts, soccer fields, baseball diamonds and tennis courts. One of our favorite park picks.
1304 Calle Valle
This park is mainly a stomping ground for the Boys and Girls Club kids. After school it is often crowded. There is a bathroom and soda machine available at this park. This is one of several "west of the 5" parks that the city seems to have a difficult time maintaining.

Calafia Park
240 Ave. Calafia
A park with a beautiful ocean view and off the beaten track. It has beach access, a large grassy area, benches, restroom and a shower (but no playground). A great place for an ocean-view picnic.

Dog Park
301 Ave. La Pata
Dogs are allowed on leash at Verde Park, Mira Costa Park and Calafia Park and on all city hiking trails. At this park, dogs are allowed to be off leash. Hours are from dawn to dusk.

• This is an off-leash park only.
• Dogs must be leashed when outside the gated enclosure.
• You are responsible for the actions of your own dog(s.) Use of this facility is at your, and your pet’s, own risk.
• You are responsible for cleaning up all your dog’s waste and disposing of it properly in the receptacles.
• All dogs must be licensed, collared, and current in their vaccinations.
• No aggressive dogs, females in heat, or puppies under four months are allowed.
• No more than 3 dogs per supervising owner.
• No food, alcohol or glass containers allowed.
• Sports activities, bicycles, skateboards and formal training classes prohibited.
• Children must be supervised at all times, and no strollers allowed.

Forster Ranch Community Park (aka “Pirate Park”)
3207 Camino Vera Cruz
Also known as “Pirate Park” to many adoring younger fans. A great park with Pirate ships to climb on, jeeps to ride in, alligators to walk on, and bridges to cross. There are picnic tables, shade, bathrooms and plenty of parking.

Leslie Park
182 Calle Los Alamos

Linda Lane
400 Linda Lane
A great small park with a beautiful ocean view, picnic tables, grass and play equipment. No bathrooms! Metered parking.

Liberty Park (Talega)
390 Calle Saluda
A newer park that has all play structures covered with shade. Fun for all ages. Shaded picnic tables, bathrooms, 2 tennis courts, basketball, soccer and baseball fields. They even have a zip line.

Max Berg Plaza
100 Calle Puente
A great neighborhood park. Plenty of room for picnics, parties and playground. Kept nice and clean thanks to the neighborhood families who like to spend time there.

Marblehead
2400 Via Turqueza
Always clean and never crowded. A great park with two different play structures. One for older kids and one fore toddlers. Bathroom, tennis courts, basketball courts…

Mira Costa
34001 Camino Mira Costa

Pines Park
A secluded little neighbor hood park with a great ocean breeze and view. The city just installed new playground equipment and it is awesome. A great place for a picnic, but no bathrooms.

Ralph's Skate Park
241 Ave. La Pata
A skater's paradise. Great for skateboarding and in-line skating. Free to the public.

Rancho San Clemente (behind Los Lobos School)
150 Calle Aguila
A large park with several play structures. Street parking (but always plenty of it). Something for kids of all ages. Bathrooms.

Richard T. Steed Memorial Park/Sports Park

247 Ave.La Pata

San Gorgonio Park
2916 Via San Gorgonio
Ocean view tot-lot, bbq area, tennis courts, baseball fields, soccer fields, basketball courts, bathrooms and a path to walk around. This is one of the biggest and coolest parks in San Clemente. This is one of the local favorites.

San Luis Rey
109 Ave, San Luis Rey
A small neighborhood park by municipal golf course. Enjoy the tot-lot, sand and grass.

Talega Park
179 Corte Cristianitos
A fun, newer park with several play structures, covered picnic tables, soccer fields, bathrooms. Kids love to slide down the sandy hill on cardboard “sleds”.

Tierra Grande / Red Barn Park (near end of Ave. Talega)

Another great Talega pool and park area. It's a little further back in the Talega 'hood', but well worth it.

Verde Park
301 Calle Escuela
A tiny, almost secret neighborhood park. You feel as if you discovered a local secret. Small play structure, tennis court, lots of grass.

Vista Bahia Park/WatermanField

402 Calle Bahia
